Haven't blogged in awhile. Been really busy. Imagine that :)
I've been listening to a lot of sermons lately, from Matt Chandler, Francis Chan, Mark Driscoll and John Piper. I've also been reading Don't Waste Your life by Piper, and The Ever Loving Truth by Voddie Baucham.
On top of working, and Worship Leading, and class starting. And a crazy girlfriend who I am madly in love with and I'm proposing to within the next few weeks..!
But all of that aside,
I've come to cherish my time in God's Word and in prayer more than i ever have. I'll be up until midnight or later with Karen, and then I'll come home, put on my prayer shawl, that i got for my birthday, and i pray and then i lie down and read the Bible. I've been reading in Deuteronomy, Isaiah, Luke and I've been studying Romans with Karen. Plus I've taught at church out of Micah and John simultaneously, anyway my point is God's Word is definitely something i don't take lightly.
I've also been writing songs, writing loops for a friend and hopefully to start using in my band once i get the equipment. One of my best friends has gotten married, and i sang at his wedding which was very special to me.
This semester should be interesting. My classes seem harmless enough. Everything in the Ag building now. Lamest. Anyway.
With all of this talk about getting married, the obvious biggest question is monetary support. It's been on my mind, is on my mind, and will be on my mind. And then the Holy Spirit directed me to just keep reading Luke and sure enough I got to this part two days ago, this is Jesus talking in Luke chapter 12:

"22And he said to his disciples, Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat, nor about your body, what you will put on.
23 For life is more than food, and the body more than clothing.
24 Consider the ravens: they neither sow nor reap, they have neither storehouse nor barn, and yet God feeds them. Of how much more value are you than the birds!
25 And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life?
26 If then you are not able to do as small a thing as that, why are you anxious about the rest?
27 Consider the lilies, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
28 But if God so clothes the grass, which is alive in the field today, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, how much more will he clothe you, O you of little faith!
29 And do not seek what you are to eat and what you are to drink, nor be worried.
30 For all the nations of the world seek after these things, and your Father knows that you need them.
31 Instead, seek his kingdom, and these things will be added to you.

I love it when they team up on me and bodyslam me with some text! So I'm settled some more about that issue. Just pray for me, I need courage and strength and humility and everything else the Father requires of me and will impart.
Well, deep subject, until next time...

I got a prayer shawl too. My friend Richard got it for me.
